Operation Love the Children of Haiti was founded in 2007 in the town of Léogâne Haiti with a mission to care for children in crisis. We established as a U.S. charitable 501(c)3 organization in 2009 as we quickly grew to care for over 35 orphaned or abandoned children.
Operation Love the Children of Haiti currently provides the housing, food, education, medical and spiritual needs for 80 children who have either been orphaned, abandoned, abused or neglected. The majority of the children are under the age of 6. We are one of the few orphanages in Haiti that accepts children with special needs.
Operation Love the Children of Haiti has an independent Executive Board in Haiti which includes a Haitian social worker, a prominent local pastor, the director of the largest neighboring orphanage and a local judge. We employ 36 local Haitians to fill our staffing needs.
The U.S. based OLTCH Board of Directors and key officers are all volunteers with 100% of support raised going directly into running the OLTCH property and program.
